Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy

Breathe pure oxygen at elevated pressure to accelerate healing, reduce inflammation, and enhance cellular repair.

Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy therapy at OutRecover Naples FL

What is Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy?

Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) delivers 100% medical-grade oxygen at pressures 1.5 to 3 times higher than normal atmospheric pressure. This hyperoxygenated environment saturates plasma, tissues, and bones with oxygen—reaching areas that red blood cells can't access.

How it works

Inside a pressurized chamber, atmospheric pressure increases allow oxygen to dissolve directly into plasma. This creates a systemic oxygen-rich environment that promotes angiogenesis, reduces oxidative inflammation, and accelerates tissue repair.

Why clients use it

Clients incorporate Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy into their protocols for a range of goals and conditions — from acute recovery to long-term optimization.

Post-surgical healing and wound recovery

Reducing chronic inflammation

Enhanced athletic recovery

Neurological support and cognitive clarity

Long COVID and fatigue recovery

What to expect

Session Duration:60–90 min

Sessions take place in a comfortable pressurized chamber. You may feel mild ear pressure during pressurization—similar to descending in an airplane. Most clients read, rest, or listen to music during the 60–90 minute session.

Safety considerations

Not suitable for clients with untreated pneumothorax or certain ear conditions. A brief intake assessment is completed before your first session.

Recovery Stacking — Sequencing Guide

Based on clinical evidence, here is how Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy pairs with other OutRecover modalities.

PEMF Therapy

Before

Cellular energy, circulation

PEMF primes cells—improving circulation, ATP production, and oxygen absorption in preparation for HBOT.

Red Light Therapy

below 2.0 ATABefore
2.0 ATA or higherAfter

Mitochondrial activation, oxygen utilization

For mild HBOT, red light before opens blood vessels and improves oxygen delivery. For high-pressure HBOT, red light after boosts mitochondrial oxygen utilization post-treatment.

Infrared Sauna

Before

Vasodilation, circulation, detox

Pre-heating boosts blood flow, preparing tissues for oxygen-rich plasma delivery during HBOT.

BOA Max Lymphatic Compression

After

Lymphatic drainage, circulation

Flushes fluid and metabolites mobilized by HBOT—enhances detox and oxygen delivery to peripheral tissues.

Normatec Compression

After

Circulatory reset, recovery

Enhances vascular return and oxygen/nutrient delivery after hyperoxygenation.

Molecular Hydrogen

Before

Oxidative stress reduction, mitochondrial priming

Pre-HBOT hydrogen protects cells from ROS and enhances oxygen utilization during the session.

Dry Cold Plunge

Not Same Day

Avoid post-HBOT vasoconstriction

Cold-induced vasoconstriction may reduce peripheral oxygen delivery after HBOT, counteracting treatment goals.

Responsive Oxygen Therapy

Not Same Day

Avoid combining two oxygen-intense therapies

Can overstimulate oxygen-sensitive systems and create circulatory overload when combined same day.

Vitamin D Light Therapy

Before or After

Immune health, energy balance

Mechanistically independent from HBOT—timing is flexible based on session goals.

Class IV Laser Therapy

acuteBefore
chronicAfter

Inflammation control, metabolic priming

Laser preps acute injuries by reducing inflammation; for chronic wounds, HBOT first resolves hypoxia then laser stimulates repair.

Sequencing guidance is based on clinical evidence and practitioner experience. Always consult with your OutRecover team before beginning a protocol.
